Group Fitness Videos
BodyStep™ is the
energizing step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive.
Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and
around the step you get huge motivation from sing-a-long music and
approachable instructors. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems
into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and
tone your body.
BodyFlow™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates
workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling
centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a
carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music
create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of
harmony and balance.
BodyCombat™ is the empowering cardio
workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic
program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of
disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai.
Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, you
strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior
cardio fitness.
BodyVive™ is the low-impact, whole body
group fitness workout that uses VIVE™ balls, VIVE™ tubes and body
weight to boost fitness and core strength. There are inspirational
instructors and music to motivate you. Best of all, you’re left
fizzing with energy, so you can really take life on!
PILATES: Core training, centering and control.
Without a strong core everything we do physically and emotionally is
tougher. Learn to strengthen the core and breathe properly creating
a stronger foundation. Pilates offers lifestyle changes and is like
Yoga in that they are both disci-plines. Get strong with this great
class. From beginners to the experts this class is highly
recommended for all!
PILATES REFORMER TRAINING: Individual lessons with our
certified Pilates Reformer instructor/trainer. Use the reformer to
gain strength and flexibility for all muscle groups; always with an
emphasis on core and breathing. Contact the club or inquire within
for pricing and availability.
CYCLING: Do you want to burn some serious
calories? This is the class for you! Also known as spinning, Cycling
is low-impact on the joints, but offers all fitness levels a
challenge. Our Greg LeMond bikes allow you to increase, or decrease
your resistance, which provides you with as much challenge as you
can handle! A great group class set to dynamic music and led by
energetic instructors. You’ll feel like you’ve brought the ‘outside
in.’ We provide the towel. You bring your water bottle!
ZUMBA:
The largest Latin-inspired fitness brand in the world. “Zumba
breaks all the rules.” As a dance-based workout, it is fairly
free-form. There is an organized flow to the routines, but you
do not have to follow them perfectly. Nor do you have to
pay much attention to counts or turns, only to the beat of the
music. You must move your body to the beat – or, rather let
the beat move your body.
Zumba emphasis is on the importance of
each person enjoying the experience and the classes are all about
joy and fun. You do
not need to know how to dance. You do not need to memorize
steps. You just have fun and you get results.
What to wear?
Loose and confortable Leotards, shorts, spandex shorts, cargo pants,
baggy pants and T-shirts and lighter-weight shoes such as aerobics
shoe, a court shoe, jazz sneakers.
Energize yourself!
Eating a healthy breakfast or cereal, or toast, eggs, or fruit is a
critical fueling strategy. Breakfast also curbs your appetite, so
after the workout you will be less likely to reward yourself with
high-calories treats. Have a light snack (fresh fruit, a cup of
yogurt, or an energy bar) within an hour prior to doing Zumba to
energize you, compared to having eaten nothing.
YOGA: A discipline the body loves! Create new
Chi (Life Force Energy)! Yoga has been around for thousands of
years. This discipline allows the body release through
strengthening, lengthening and stretching which improves your
flexibility. Yoga can center the mind and body while creat-ing
balance. Relaxing meditation finishes the class. Several Yoga styles
are offered. A great way to de-stress.
